FRIDAY the 13th

I threw together some fan art to mark Friday the 13th today.  According to the Stress Management Center and Phobia Institute in Asheville, North Carolina, between 17 and 21 million are affected in their daily lives by the arrival of this "unlucky holiday."  Ironically, the Dutch Centre for Insurance Statistics stated in 2008 that less traffic incidents and thefts occur on Friday the 13th.  Although, this may be attributed to more people simply staying home and being cautious not to fall victim of this curiously demented date.  At any rate, the date takes form in another cult-pop manner as the title of the movie line featuring everyone's favorite mama's boy slasher Jason Voorhees. The madman himself is pretty ripe in my new illustration and it looks like one of those eyes is spawning new life. Enjoy and go Get Lucky today!
