The MASTER of SUSPENSE

Sir Alfred Hitchcock was an immigrant to the United States during his long thrillride of a career which spanned more than half a century in the television and film industries.  Today is Hitch's birthday and to celebrate, here is my portrait which was composed for a solo exhibit back in 2009 entitled Cult of Personality.
"Man cannot live by Murder Alone" (inks on bristol / 2009)

Hitchcock's life is that of legends.  He developed his own distinct style while movie making was in its infancy.  He made the camera move as if it were the audience's eyes placing them inside the drama.  He wrote, he produced, he directed and to the amusement of us all he poked fun at his sponsors with devilishly witty dark humor.
